Honda Sends Its N-Box to Japan

Honda has created a mini- minivan. Called the Honda N-Box, this mini-vehicle is set to be released in Japan in two days (Dec. 16, 2011). Although it's still unknown when (or if) the N-Box will make its way to the United States, we at University Honda can only hope that this unique vehicle does find its way back across the ocean.

The Honda N-Box features a newly-designed platform and powertrain package. It will be the first recipient of this Honda "Earth Dreams Technology" package, which will continue to be produced in all new Honda vehicles from this point on. The N-Box also boasts one of the roomiest interiors among all mini-vehicles on the market to date.  Honda has always put stock in the man maximum/machine minimum concept, which explains the company's design of maximizing the space for passengers and minimizing the room needed for mechanical parts.  The result is a comfortable, fuel-efficient, technologically-advanced N-Box vehicle.

The N-Box also boasts a newly-developed CVT transmission and DOHC engine- both of which (with the help of an idle stop mechanism) enable the auto to achieve a comfortable ride and environmentally-friendly platform.  Standard safety features include for the vehicle include: Hill Start Assist, Vehicle Stability Assist, a driver's side i-SRD airbag system, and an SRS airbag system for front passengers. Our favorite part of the new Honda? It's made up of over 90 percent recyclable parts!

Stay tuned with University Honda to learn more about the N-Box's debut in the U.S., including specific specs and pricing. As always, we are committed to keeping you informed about all things Honda.
