Thanks to the governments of Guangzhou and Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd , Honda Motors is now being allowed to test their EV fleet in China! The hybrid version of Honda's 2012 Fit is currently the car being tested on the dense roads of China.
Currently, the Fit EVs is going through real-world urban environments to witness their practicality, as well as identify any technological issues. The numerous tests will also help the company set up where and how far apart recharge points should be installed.
As the report states: "EVs will be driven on local streets to reproduce a real-world usage environment to identify the vehicle's potential technological issues. Through the monitoring of daily driving by general users, range per charge and charging patterns (frequency and location) will be confirmed."1
