2013 Honda Accord Impresses, Lives Up to Standards

The 2013 Honda Accord is an impressive automobile. At University Honda, we're excited to report to our customers in the Sacramento, Elk Grove, Woodland or Vacaville areas that the storied Accord tradition will live on. With advances in technology and fuel efficiency, the 2013 Accord certainly lives up to the reputations of its predecessors.

Highlighting first the technology advances, Honda has added:

  • Diode light-emitting headlamps (the first LED lights on an Accord)
  • Front collision warning system
  • HondaLink cloud-based entertainment system
  • Rearview camera

The 2013 comes with a number of notable safety advances as well. Whiplash-reducing front seat active head restraints, six air bags, traction and electronic stability control are all standard, making the model a safety leader. There's even a blind spot awareness system that works to forewarn drivers of potential obstacles on the passenger side of the vehicle. Fuel economy has been improved too, as models featuring the continuously variable transmission and a four-cylinder engine get an incredible 36 miles per gallon highway.

Let's not forget about the styling tweaks. The new edition's appearance has been streamlined considerably, allowing for a roomy 38.5 inches of legroom. The dashboard on the Touring model is redesigned, and includes two large screens that enable simultaneous control of navigation tools and a view of the rearview camera's images.
