Though the recent natural disasters in Japan (including a tsunami, earthquake, and flooding in Thailand) may have interfered with production and new Honda offerings for a while, Japanese automaker Honda wants to announce to the whole world, "I'm back!" The company is back up-and-running, and will be offering refreshed versions of its top three best-sellers in the U.S. for the 2012 and 2013 model year: the Honda Civic, the Honda CR-V (for the 2012 year), and the Honda Accord.
The three fresh models will feature new direct-injection engines. Honda America President Tetsuo Iwamura describes them, stating, "These new engines are very competitive in terms of fuel efficiency and performance. They will be a reminder of Honda's strong DNA as an engine maker."1 A plug-in variant of the Honda Accord will also be offered soon.
The 2013 Honda Accord officially debuted at the 2012 Detroit Auto show in coupe concept form, and will be available for online viewing on the automaker's website starting soon. As for the new 2012 CR-V, it was introduced in December 2011. If these models follow Honda's traditional pattern, we can expect them to be very similar to the models that eventually hit production lines. The new CR-V is available at University Honda, located at 4343 Chiles Road Davis, CA 95618.
Stay tuned here with University Honda of Davis, CA to receive updates about the newest Honda vehicles as they become available. In the meantime, if you have questions about the new CR-V of any of our other current models, feel free to call us at 866-980-5652, or contact us online.
