Honda Celebrates 30 Years with Best Accord Yet!

Honda, our favorite Japanese carmaker, recently celebrated its 30 anniversary of U.S. citizenship! A few weeks ago, workers at the Honda Marysville Auto Plant began production of the 2013 Honda Accord, which marks three decades of U.S. Honda production. The new, ninth-generation Accord is, arguably, the most impressive version of the vehicle yet! It's scheduled to go on sale this month.

Jeff Tomko, Plant Manager of the Marysville Auto Plant, explains the appeal of the new accord, stating, "The styling is outstanding, the features are impressive and the technology is unlike any other vehicle in this segment. But what really makes this vehicle great is the hands-on craftsmanship that each of our associates have put into building this new Accord."1

John Kasich, governor of Ohio, and a handful of other government officials celebrated the special anniversary alongside the first set of mass-produced 2013 Accord models to roll off production lines. The Accord has been produced at the Marysville Auto Plant without a break since November 1, 1982, when the vehicle was already in its second generation. To date, the plant has builtmore than 9 million Honda Accord models.

The 2013 Honda Accord will be arriving at University Honda, conveniently located at 4343 Chiles Road Davis, CA 95618, very soon, so be sure to check our new Honda inventory listings often to find out when it arrives!
