So far this year, the fireworks have been flying for Honda as the automaker has taken home numerous awards and accolades for its vehicle models. Take the 2016 Honda Civic, for example, which is the North American Car of the Year, AutoGuide Car of the Year, and Kelley Blue Book KBB.com Overall Best Buy. Then there is the 2016 Honda Accord, which made Car and Driver’s 10Best list this year for the thirtieth time in 40 years. The Honda Accord Sedan, Accord Hybrid, and Accord Plug-In were also awarded the Top Rated distinction on Edmunds.com.

The Accord and Civic have also shared a few honors with other Honda models. Among the Hondas that made the KBB.com 16 Best Family Cars list, besides the Accord and Civic, were the CR-V, HR-V, Pilot, and Odyssey. The Honda CR-V, Pilot, and Odyssey also joined the Civic as recipients of the KBB.com Best Buy Award in their respective vehicle classes.

Environmentally friendly vehicles, also known as green cars, are a primary topic of discussion in automotive circles so far this year. One of the leading authorities on green cars, Green Car Journal, named the new Honda HR-V its 2016 Green SUV of the Year™. Lastly, in the safety category, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) assigned its coveted 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score to the 2016 Honda CR-V, Accord, Fit, Odyssey, HR-V, and Pilot.
