We aren't very surprised that the 2012 Honda Fit is Cars.com's most recent $16,000 Subcompact Shootout winner. After all, the 2012 Fit has already won several awards since its premier. It's been recognized as a six-time winner of Car and Driver's "10BestCars" award, a TOP SAFETY PICK by the IIHS, and has received the 2012 Residential Value Award from ALG, to name a few. So, when the Fit crushed six other compacts in the Shootout, we didn't bat an eye.

The 2012 Honda Fit has been known as an award-winning vehicle since it flew off production lines, and now the Fit has another honor to add to its list. The Fit was recently added to Consumer Reports "Best New Car Value" list and was selected as the best car in its category and the best value overall.
